Tenants seated at the UOB Ability Hub, located in Enabling Village

The tenant community at Enabling Village has always been a diverse one, so it was a pleasure to organise our biannual Tenants’ Get Together on 22 February 2024, just before the Chinese New Year festivities drew to a close. Typically held at the beginning and end of every year, it is a chance for tenants to meet and connect with one another.

A sharing by SG Enable on the future plans of the space

The event started off with the Enabling Village Division sharing their future plans and development of Enabling Village 2.0 – an exciting new chapter signalling the move towards building a more inclusive community together.

Tenants brainstorming in a group at the event

Then, tenants and partners proceeded to break-out groups where they brainstormed and discussed ideas with one another, finding opportunities to work in greater synergy. As a springboard for inclusive businesses and social enterprises, it is this collaborative relationship we have with our tenants at Enabling Village that sets us apart.

Unlike traditional landlords, our tenants or prospective tenants can benefit from a collaborative and inspiring tenant community and supportive ecosystem with SG Enable’s dedicated support for inclusive hiring, marketing, and accessible infrastructure.

It was definitely heartening to see and hear all the wonderful ideas!

Enabling Village’s staff, tenants and partners celebrating new beginnings with a Lo Hei

With the new year comes new beginnings and new partnerships. What better way to welcome this new season than with a Prosperity Lo Hei specially prepared by Chef William from Professor Brawn Bistro, one of our tenants!

We closed the session with a private lunch together at Professor Brawn Bistro. Everyone kept the conversations going over a hearty meal – a memorable end to the day for sure.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Tenants’ Get Together! It was a great opportunity for all of us to share ideas and align our goals towards a united cause of championing inclusion of persons with disabilities. We also extend our appreciation to all who have submitted tenancy proposals to us.

We look forward to the next gathering, and we can’t wait to review all of your exciting proposals.

Stay tuned for updates on our socials and website.
