Experience our batik art workshop led by skilled artisans – our Metta youths with special needs. Learn about the traditional art and work on your very own batik art painting that you can bring back with you!

Each batik painting goes through the tedious process of tracing, waxing, painting, treating with a batik fixer, washing and scrubbing repetitively with hot water, and finally ironing before it could be used as a material for the making of various products. The fundamental techniques and production of batik paintings and products help our artists and trainees to stay focus and build fine motor skills, instilling self-confidence and the motivation to succeed in each of them.

Participants on the workshop get to learn and experience batik art and interact with our skilled artisans – our Metta youths with special needs. You will also get to work on your very own batik art painting that you can bring back with you!
